After news broke about 21 Savage being arrested by ICE, many questions (along with concerns), started to peak the public’s interest.
21 has claimed Atlanta as home, so many fans, and watchers alike are confused by this breakthrough. Reporter Mark Winne originally broke the story about 21 Savage being arrested by ICE. Winne has been speaking with Bryan Cox, an ICE representative.
Winne stated that Cox told him, “Mr. Abraham-Joseph is presently in ICE custody in Georgia and has been placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts. ICE will now await the outcome of his case before a federal immigration judge to determine future actions.
As stated in the previous reporting of this story, I attempted to reach out to 21’s lawyer, and she got back to me. Ms. Dina LaPolt issued the following statement.
“We are working diligently to get Mr. Abraham-Joseph out of detention while we work with the authorities to clear up any misunderstandings. Mr. Abraham-Joseph is a role model to the young people in this country, especially in Atlanta, Georgia, and is actively working in the community -leading programs to help underprivileged youths in financial literacy. “
